The Universal Law of Thinking: The Importance of Controlling Your Thoughts to Achieve Success

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 9:06 am

By Nickolove Lovemore

The Law of Thinking is one of several Universal Laws which silently govern our lives. Yet it by mastering these laws and working in harmony with them that we achieve our greatest success in life.

However, with respect to the Universal Law of Thinking, are you really thinking or are you allowing someone else to do your thinking for you?

Earl Nightingale said once that if most people said what they were thinking that they would be speechless. You see many people allow their thoughts to be controlled by others - newspapers, magazines, television, radio and the like.

And, particularly during this current environment, when the economy is experiencing a downturn allowing your thinking to be controlled by those whose role seems to be to continually provide a stream of negative news this can be very dangerous indeed.

Thoughts are extremely powerful. Do not underestimate the power of thought just because it is not immediately visible. You cannot see a thought but you can see its effects.

“Mind is the master power that moulds and makes. And man is mind and ever more he takes the tool of thought and, shaping what he wills, brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills. He thinks in secret and it comes to pass, the environment is but his looking glass.”

James Allen, “As a Man Thinketh”

In other words, as all the world’s greatest thought leaders agree, you become what you think about and your external environment (in its broadest sense) is a direct reflection of internal environment or your thoughts.

At a fundamental level we are simply energy and, with Kirlian photography, we can even see how changing our thoughts change the energy signature that we emit or our aura. Energy therapists also have the ability to ‘read’ people’s aura’s with a high degree of accuracy. However, anyone has the ability to sharpen their acuity to sense what another person is thinking.

Scientists have proven that your thoughts travel 930,000 times faster than the speed of your voice. This is phenomenal and it underlines the importance of controlling your thinking. The thoughts you think on a regular basis will materialize and, in some cases, with alarming alacrity. No other Universal force is known to be as powerful or as fast.

Voltaire said:

“No problem can stand the assault of sustained thinking.”

However, there is a pre-requisite to this - so long as you are thinking about the solution to the problem and not just focusing on the problem itself. Too many people focus on the problem and then wonder why things don’t work out.

Many people think negative and expect positive but, of course, that isn’t going to happen. Yet often, when you challenge such individuals about changing their thinking and practicing positive thinking their immediate rebuttal is that it is too hard. Albert Einstein said that:

“The world we have created is a product of our thinking; it cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”

So if you want to change your life and resolve the problems you’re experiencing you have to change your thinking. Yes, this can be a challenge but what’s worse? Staying as you are even although you are dissatisfied and, in some cases downright miserable about your present situation, or changing your thinking to make it congruent with what you truly desire in your life?

However, remember that it took years of thinking to create the life you currently have. Change will not be instantaneous but it can be fast so long as you are persistent.

Einstein also said:

“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”

Yet this is exactly what many people are striving in vain to accomplish. To solve your current problems you not only have to change your thinking you also have to elevate your thinking. It follows therefore, that you must be on a continual path of self-improvement if you wish to advance in life and achieve your goals because you will not achieve your goals without encountering and vanquishing a few problems along the way.

The proper application of the Law of Thinking is critical to your success. Your thinking will shape your destiny.

“Thoughts lead on to purpose, purpose leads on to actions, actions form habits, habits decide character and character fixes our destiny.”

Tryon Edwards

Does Your Dog Feel Better After Being Groomed?

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 1:02 pm

By Gary Vaughn

When you have been in the “wild” for a number of days without a bath or a shave, how do you feel? Pretty raunchy, right? You’re totally ready to wash all that gunk off of you and start to resemble a normal human being again. Well, the same is true for your dog, up to a certain point.

Yes, it’s true that dogs don’t have a system of logic going on in their brains that tells them that they smell bad. Neither do you. Yours is a learned behavior. Early man stunk, folks. He was ripe all the time and everyone just accepted this. It was a part of the daily routine. Just like your dog. Man is the only species that does not react simply out of instinct or habit alone. He can reason. That’s what makes us the highest species. Believe it or not, dogs can reason too, especially after a grooming.

Tony Roettger, of Spaniel Journal, says that if a thing can be trained, such as a dog, it can reason. Maybe the reasoning is on a lower level than humans but it can reason and the more it is forced to reason, the better it gets and the more frequently it uses reasoning to make decisions, the more evident it becomes. Reasoning is a form of conditioning, is it not and vice versa. Conditioning is a form of reasoning.

With that said, let us do some reasoning of our own. When a person takes their dog to the groomer’s shop and the dog is given the full treatment, including bath, haircut, nails trimmed appropriately, nails polished, ribbons in the hair (in some cases) and a doggie perfume or cologne placed on them, they probably hate the entire affair because they don’t have the capability to reason the reason for what they’re going through; however, what is your reaction when you pick them up from the groomers? You’re usually very excited, you talk to the dog and tell them how good they look, your voice conveys approval and happiness. So, what do you think the dog may be reasoning here?

Our guess is that the animal, after being groomed and receiving your obvious gratuities and love begins to understand that this grooming process, which he hates, brings accolades and love from his owner so how bad can it really be? He knows that he’s not going to be harmed so he begins to associate the grooming process with your love and attention. Hey, even men do this type of reasoning, right?

So, the question is not so much, “do they know they’re being groomed,” but rather, “do they associate the grooming with good feelings and do they feel good about themselves once they are groomed?”

The truth is, your dog may not actually “like” the grooming process but they accept it. They probably associate your attention with the process although they don’t have any idea why you’re happy. They just know you are and if you’re happy, that’s ok with them because they love you, unconditionally.

So, don’t hesitate to get your dog groomed frequently from a reputable and highly touted groomer. They make you feel good about your dog and the dog can feel that because…he reasons it out. And you want him to feel good because you love him, right?

Strategies On How To Deal With Obsessive Thoughts

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 10:16 pm

By Stanley Popovich

There are times when people encounter fearful thoughts that can be difficult to manage. For some people, the more they try to get rid of the thoughts, the more difficult they become to deal with. As a result, here is a brief list of techniques that a person can use to help manage their fearful and obsessive thoughts.

The first thing a person must do is not to dwell or focus on the fear provoking thought when it comes. The more a person tries to reason out the thought or focus on the fear behind the thought, the stronger the thought becomes. The next time you encounter an obsessive thought, get into the practice of not dwelling on it.

Sometimes, a person may encounter a lot of scary thoughts coming at them all at once. Instead of getting upset, remember that these thoughts are exaggerated and are not based on reality. Usually it is the fear behind the thoughts that gets us worked up. Ignore the fear behind these obsessive thoughts, regardless how the strong the fear may be. If you ignore the fear behind these thoughts, then the thoughts become easier to manage.

Remember that the difference between an obsessive thought and a regular thought is that an obsessive thought is based on fear. With this in mind, try to find the source of the fear behind the thought. Once you find the source of the fear, learn to manage it. If you do, the thought becomes easier to deal with.

Learn to challenge your negative thinking with positive statements and realistic thinking. When encountering thoughts that make your fearful or depressed, challenge those thoughts by asking yourself questions that will maintain objectivity and common sense.

A person should keep a small notebook of positive statements that makes them feel good. Whenever they come across a positive and uplifting verse that makes them feel good, write it down in a small notebook. A person can then carry this notebook around in their pocket and whenever they feel anxious, they can read their notebook.

Another thing to remember is that no one can predict the future with one hundred percent certainty. Even if your fearful thoughts tell you otherwise, the fact is that there are circumstances and factors in every situation that cannot be anticipated. We may be ninety-nine percent in predicting the future but all it takes is for that one percent to make the biggest difference.

There are many ways to deal with these kinds of thoughts. The best thing is not to give up and to learn to manage the thought. If you still have trouble, then seek the services of a professional.

Stan Popovich is the author of, A Layman’s Guide to Managing Fear, an easy to read book that presents a overview of techniques that are effective in managing persistent fears and anxieties. For additional information go to: http://www.managingfear.com

The Nature Of Positive Thoughts

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 7:13 pm

By Robert Kokoska

Man is always attracted towards everything that is metaphysical and psychological; leading psychologists have always believed in the matter of mind, which is capable of performing stupendous things for self growth and development. On the flip side, they are also worried by a mind that is out of control, with many manifestations of disease and illness as the final result. It is always believed that human beings could achieve anything and everything under the sun, provided they possess a mind that is tough and intelligent.

As a corollary, they also believed that people who have achieved a high degree of personal success, always showed an elevated level of positive thoughts and beliefs. Positive thoughts are known to assist a person in achieving those goals and targets, which can not be achieved by a person with a negative mindset.

Understanding positive thought requires considerable amount of intelligence and wisdom. Positive thoughts are so surreal and mysterious; man has always been baffled by the fact that some people are more endowed with a high level of self belief and positive thoughts, while many people lack this natural gift, due to unknown reasons. Positive thoughts seem to originate from the mind, and its flow is always controlled by the person. Though most of us have positive thoughts deep in our mind, we may never experience it in its full potential or may experience only during some time in our life. Is it possible to control the flow of positive thoughts at a uniform rate?

It is possible to develop positive thoughts and feelings by adjusting the way in which we think and behave. There are several innovative methods prescribed by many leading experts and often these methods do help us in developing a positive us. However the basic methodology is almost similar in all techniques. If you want to develop a positive personality, you will also need to consider driving away all negative thoughts; it is probably like two opposite faces of a coin. Positive and negative minds are dual in nature. When one of them shows its dominance, other will be in its dormancy. This perceptible shift in alternating domination and dormancy state of mind is the ultimate factor that makes us either positive in nature or negative in behavior.

Is it possible to retain positive thoughts as our dominating entity in our mind? Conversely, can we suppress the negative part of our personality by using some methods? Theoretically both are distinct possibilities, provided we have some genuine methods to follow. Though it is almost impossible to drive away our negative aspect of personality, it is also possible to mask such negative part of the personality with fresh, continuous positive thoughts.

It is just like filling in fresh, crystal clear water slowly, inch by inch, to replace a mass of water that is dirty and stained. Another analogy is to fill in a glass of water with crystal clear water and add black ink, so that the whole glass of water becomes dark and negative. Now when you add fresh water slowly, drop by drop, and replace the whole glass full of dark water, the resulting water mass is all crystal clear and pure. Our mind actually works in a similar manner.

Women’s Thoughts About The Penis Size

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 11:18 am

By Mark Kintan

Admit it or not, we have always been annoyed or bombarded with questions on penis size for a long time. Who or what else is there to blame? Movies and TV series like “The Sweetest Thing” and Sex and the City” all show women characters who leave their men because of one obvious reason– a small penis. Even drug company* and health and medical retail outlets are continuously introducing sexual enhancers and penis enlargement tools to help men with their penis size troubles. But naturally, men who avail or are still thinking of getting these products also wonder: does the size of the penis really matter to women?

Let’s view two points involving the penis size issue from the female position. One side, in particular, includes those who detest size queens, people who care or “pretend” to care about penis size, and those who do not believe that penis size matters. For these women, size queens only “pretend” to care about the penis size issue to feel dominant; since women feel secondary to men, some feminists take advantage of this penis issue to experience a sort of power over men. Furthermore, some women view the penis size issue as that of a male obsession because of the scientific fact that the women’s most sensitive sexual nerves are located around the vagina’s opening so there is really no need for a longer penis when the pleasure nerves are just around the opening area. Others, in the meantime, simply say that penis size isn’t a factor that affects men’s personalities.

Logically speaking, a longer penis is more capable to have an erection than a shorter one. If the penis is not capable to erect during intercourse, then dissatisfaction would definitely arise, which can lead to further complications in the sexual relationship. Another related notion is that having a longer penis usually means having a desirable girth, which means more friction and pleasure for the women during sex.

But aside from the needs of women for their partners to have larger penises, some women truly have their own opinions based on the behavior and view of men. Most also experience the necessity to believe a penis enlargement process. Even today, men consider long and large penises as trophies worth bragging by and adulating over. In such case, necessarily, someone who’s not as well-endowed as the others frequently feels insecure and inferior. Arguably, the big penis ideal has become part of male culture because it adds up to their masculinity. There are many men, both young and old, who often think that they lose sense of masculinity if their penises don’t measure above the average or as expected by their peers and sexual partners.

Since of the increasing number of people who think that having a larger penis is worth all the effort, several companies have been coming up with different ways on however to help those who are not so gifted down there. For instance, penis enlargement tools are rampant in the market today, including penis pumps. Some men even undergo surgical procedures such as phalloplasty, a male organ enlargement surgery, just so that the size of their penis get the approval of many, including their women.

But for those who are not yet positive to go all out and take drastic procedures for the penis enlargement desires, supplements that are made of natural ingredients are also available. For many men and women, going for the alternative option of supplements is deemed safer and less risky, and thus, is much more appealing.

Most women recommend those with safe and herbal contents such as VigRX Plus, which is a supplement that improves the sexual performance of men. According to Dr. Michael Carter, male enhancement products like VigRX Plus often contain natural ingredients such as herbs from China, South America, and Europe. These herbs usually include the Hawthorn Berry, a strong antioxidant that smooths out blood circulation, the Catuaba Bark Extract, which helps relieve stress and stimulates the nervous system, and the Asian Red Ginseng, which helps cure erectile dysfunction.

Apart from the fact that they reinforce the impression that bigger is better and that they are safe, supplements like VigRX Plus are medically proven for their natural methods of enhancing penis size, increasing libido, and improving erection. Once a patient encounters any problem such as erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation, he may take these supplements, aside from consulting with the doctor, so that he does not have to deal with further complications in his reproductive system. Still medical professionals and doctors take these supplements for their own penis size problems. Luke Adams, for one, discovered the positive effects of VigRX after using it for two weeks; according to him, his penis has become bigger and stronger every time it erects since he took the supplements.

Much have been said about women’s thoughts about size, but what ultimately matters most is what the method can do for the body and how it can change the individual’s sex life. So, whether men believe that women care about penis size or not, they still have to take care of their body and at the same time, make themselves happy and satisfied.

How Our Thoughts Influence Our Health

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 12:18 pm

By Sarah Maria

Have you ever spend endless hours in thought, pondering an important decision and felt a consistent pain in your stomach? Do you ever notice yourself having critical thoughts and feel a corresponding tightness in your chest? When you’ve been happy, excited, or thinking positive thoughts, have you noticed how your whole body felt relaxed?

The average person has between 12,000 and 50,000 thoughts per day. And these thoughts can have profound effects on our psycho-physiology.

Thousands of years ago, the Buddha pointed out that our thoughts determine our experience of the world. He was the original cognitive therapist, explaining that our beliefs had the power to enslave us or enlighten us. The ancient Indian medical system of Ayurveda also teaches that our biography helps create our biology.

Whatever we think, feel, and experience, helps to create our reality.

These ancient teachings have been continually confirmed through western medical science. Dr. Candace Pert, an internationally recognized psychopharmacologist and author of Molecules of Emotion, explains “The nueropeptides and receptors, the biochemicals of emotion, are the messengers carrying information to link the major systems of the body into one unit that we can call the body-mind. We can no longer think of the emotions as having less validity than the physical, material substance, but instead must see them as cellular signals that are involved in the process of translating information into physical reality, literally transforming mind into matter.”

Our thoughts and emotions can profoundly impact our health. Dr. Pert further writes “Because the molecules of emotion are involved in the process of a virus entering a cell, it seems logical to assume that the state of our emotions will affect whether or not we succumb to viral infections.” She goes on to explain that “. . . the chronic suppression of emotions results in a massive disturbance of the psychosomatic network.” Therefore, “The key is to express it and then let it go, so that it doesn’t fester or build, or escalate out of control.”

An amazing pictorial representation of how our thoughts create and influence our reality involves water — plain old water. Writer and researcher Masaru Emoto, who lives and works in Japan, decided to photograph the crystals formed when water freezes. Emoto found that crystal formation seems to reflect the words, music, or actions that water is exposed to as it freezes.

Emoto and his colleagues wrote different words on paper, and then taped them onto bottles of water. They then froze the water and observed the crystals that formed. When water was exposed to the words “thank you,” a beautiful hexagonal shape appeared.

Conversely, when the water was exposed to the words “you fool,” no crystals formed and the frozen water looked like a misshapen lump of ice.

Emoto’s photographs offer a pictorial representation for Dr. Pert’s findings. We are mostly water, and it seems not impossible that we can and do influence this water, and therefore our bodies, in either positive or negative ways. According to Emoto, “The vibration of good words has a positive effect on our world, whereas the vibration from negative words has the power to destroy.”
