Skin Care - Inside Out

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 8:25 pm

Skin Care - Inside Out

We discussed this earlier and you may have heard of skin care treatments such as
chemical peels, facelifts, dermabrasion, laser light, and all those wonders of skin science
that constantly make looking younger, fairer, more confident a reality for many people.
(Here’s where you can find more detailed information on skin care and href=”http://bestskincareproducts.info/best-stretch-mark-creams-42.html”>stretch
mark removal cream
.)

What if you were told that there was a way to make your skin healthier, younger looking
aside from these methods? A method that does not include scalpels, suctions, topical
solutions and others? Wouldn’t it be great? Alas, you might say, it hasn’t happened yet,
maybe some day in the far-off future. But what if you were told that it was possible even
today. Would you flip?

The wonder being talked about here is the wonder that has always been there - your body.
Your body has the ability to regulate itself, supply nutrients to various organs such as the
skin and generally give it a healthy glow.

The body also has the capability of improving how the skin looks. It can make the skin
more supple, radiant, healthy, and youthful looking. Taking care of the body from the
inside out has been grossly underrated. Caring for the skin in this way will result in a
more natural glow. This method of skin care in conjunction with other skin treatments
will result in the optimal skin care. (Here’s where you can find more href=”http://bestskincareproducts.info/”>skin
care products reviews
.)

If this is the case, then why doesn’t it do that exact same thing to everyone, you may ask.
Various factors will impair the body’s ability to do - bad diet, smoking, stress, lack of
sleep and other factors make the skin that old, scaly, thing many people see in front of the
mirror.

American Diet

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 6:25 pm

American Diet

Another important aspect of weight loss protein involves whether or not youre getting your protein from animal or plant based sources. While the traditional American diet recommends most animal based proteins, recent data suggests that too heavy a reliance on animal proteins increases risks for disease. On top of that, free diet plans animal proteins contain almost no fiber, which doesnt go very far in keeping you feeling full, and negatively effects your ability to burn fat. When choosing your protein sources, make sure you eat a good portion of your protein from plant sources (soy, beans, legumes, etc.). You dont have to be a vegetarian, but I recommend keeping your animal proteins on the low side.

Add a Colorful Cover Letter to Your CV

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 5:11 pm

Add a Colorful Cover Letter to Your CV

Hiring managers want to know more about you than your CV (curriculum vitaewhich stands for ‘course of life). Therefore, a resume cover letters is a chance to add some current personal details that will provide the hiring manager with a closer look at who you are. Consider CV cover letters as ‘appetizers’to encourage employers to take a moment to get to know you and your personality. Also, a CV cover letter helps to ‘cover’ your CV, to introduce you and your abilities, your experience and interests in the job you’re bidding for prior to the hiring manager reading your CV.

I have 7 cats, and I have a plastic tablecloth that had been peed on. Are you stepping out into success?

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 10:15 am

Are you stepping out into success?

Many of us think of applying the pressure as failing. ‘The pressure is coming. Oh my gosh! What

am I going to do? The pressure is coming.’ But pressure doesn’t need to be a negative: I love

this quote.

Pressure is a word that is misused in our vocabulary. When you start thinking of pressure, it’s

because you started to think of failure. Tommy Lasorda

When you stop and think about what happens in life, pressure is being applied constantly in

many different arenas. An example would be rush hour traffic that puts more and more pressure

on the highways. As the population grows more and more pressure is added. What happens? Do we,

as a society, give up and say ‘oh, well. Too Bad? It’s just going to take you that much longer

to transit into work’? Your commute time, instead of being an hour and a half, is going to be 2

hours. And in 3 years from now, it’s going to be 4 hours. Or do we take the action, as a

society, as a city, as a person and do something to relieve that pressure? Yes we do something

that will alleviate the pressure for all of that traffic coming into the downtown core.

We as a society, as a city, step into success. We do something to alleviate that pressure. We

can learn to apply that concept in our life. Instead of taking a look at the pressure as a bad

thing we can use it to build something new, a bridge to our future. Do we do what Tommy Lasorda

said-misuse that word ‘pressure’ and think of it as ‘oh, I’m going to fail, I’m going to fail’

and then give up? - or do we CHOOSE to do something different and step into our own success?

We all have habits. What is your ‘it’? What is the ‘it’ that stops you? When you start to feel

that pressure, what do you do? Next time that happens, I want you to stop and think, ‘what am I

automatically doing here’? Then decide to do something different in order to get a different

result.

When I was first introduced to this concept, I did not recognize what habit I fell into until I

was all the way in it. Stress eating was one of the things I used to do. As I learn to

recognize where that pressure point is, what my habit is, what my ‘it’ is, I, can learn how to

change it, how to react differently.

I just watched the movie ‘What the Bleep?! - Down the Rabbit Hole’. One of the concepts in the

movie is that we, as human beings, are bombarded every second with 400 billion bits of

information. We only process 2000, therefore we need to choose carefully which bits we pay

attention too. When we succumb to the pressure and fall into a negative habit, like I used to

when I was stress eating, we are selecting only a narrow negative portion of information from

the 4 billion bits..

I have decided that I am going to choose a different 2,000 bits of information. It really is

just a choice.. We need to recognize what our habits, and that we can change our habits.

Millions of people have learned how to stop the stress eating habit. Millions of people have

learned how to quit smoking. Millions and millions of people have learned how to make their

life and best home business to start better, how to step into

success. If they can do it, I can do it. If I can do it, you can do it. It’s all just a simple

choice, to make a different decision.

If you are a parent ask yourself, if you choose non-success habits, what are the habits and

passions that you are creating in your children? Are you creating a generational curse or a

generational legacy? Another great quote is “children have never been good at listening to

their elders. But they have never failed to imitate them”. by James Baldwin. Even if you aren’t

a parent what about the influence you have on the people around you?

We need to learn to recognize when we are backing off from pressure, when we are moving into

the habits that are not success habits (the ones that we need to change). We also need to

recognize the habits that we have that are good, that are leading us towards success, leading

us to our financial freedom. We need to be aware so that we can make changes in our negative

habits and reinforce our positive habits.

We need to learn to recognize that when we wish for something, ask for something, pray for

something or when we say affirmations for something, it’s not going to just happen. It’s not

going to be handed to us on a silver platter. One of my affirmations is “I am building a team

of dream achievers” Now, I know that that is going to take patience and perseverance and that

this whole team of dream achievers are not just going to be dumped in my lap. I have to go

looking for them and attract them into my life.

As I go down the personal development journey and build my best home

businesses from home I come up against pressure points all the time. When I think back to

the pressure points in my life last year at this time versus this year - whoa! - last year’s

ones seem really simple now. What happens? We are not given exactly what we want right off the

bat. But we are given the opportunity to develop the skills so that we get better. On my

journey, I am becoming a better team leader. I am practicing my patience and my perseverance in

my own learning so that I become that better learner that attracts, using the Law of Cause and

Effect, that team of dream achievers, the team of business builders.

When that pressure is applied in our lives, patience and perseverance, is what we need in order

to grow through that pressure point. Once we do grow and find different habits to allow us to

get past that pressure point, to allow us to develop the skills, to learn those new things that

we need to learn, we come to a better place and we can handle more pressure. We have new

skills. We know something different. We react in a different away. We remain patient. We

practice the perseverance and can step into success.

Are you applying enough pressure? Are you stepping out into success? Take a look at your

habits. What do you do when the pressure hits? Are you giving yourself the opportunity to

develop a new skill, to become even better than you already are? I would love to hear about

those experiences.. Send me an email at Carla at retirewithcarla.com or give me a phone call at

(778) 835-4032 and let me know, what are the habits that you’ve come across? What are some of

the things that you have done differently?

From both sides now: crossover effects influence navigation in patients with unilateral neglect.

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 10:06 pm

From both sides now: crossover effects influence navigation in patients with unilateral neglect.

Unilateral neglect is a challenging disorder that pervades a range of behaviours following stroke and hampers recovery. Although a preponderance of clinical studies measure performance on a range of bedside assessments, including line bisection and medicare power wheelchairs, handicap scooters cancellation tasks, there have been calls for studies to embrace more relevant functional measures. Here, for the first time, we present data from two separate tasks that characterise the performance of seven patients with unilateral neglect when navigating a power wheelchair. The tasks involved negotiating an obstacle course and steering a central path between gaps of different sizes. Results from the obstacle course confirmed the clinical observation and predicted bias of contralesional errors. However, the second task revealed a robust “crossover” effect. Patients deviated to the ipsilesional side for large gaps but deviated increasingly contralesionally when steering through small gaps in behaviour that was analogous to that previously shown on line bisection tasks. Contrary to being seen as an unintuitive finding, further analysis of these errors suggests that patients are giving disproportionate weight to the location of the ipsilesional object when plotting a midline course between two objects. Our results provide a platform for further studies to investigate the modulation and rehabilitation of this important skill.

Characterization of power wheelchair use in the home and community

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 6:55 pm

Characterization of power wheelchair use in the home and community

OBJECTIVE: To characterize the use of power wheelchairs and www.easymedonline.com to determine if multiple measures of mobility and occupancy jointly provide a more comprehensive picture of wheelchair usage and daily activity in full-time power wheelchair users than daily distance alone. DESIGN: Prospective observational study. SETTING: Subjects’ everyday mobility was measured in their homes and communities for 2 weeks, and prompted recall interviews were conducted by phone. PARTICIPANTS: A convenience sample (N=25) of nonambulatory, full-time power wheelchair users. INTERVENTIONS: Not applicable. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Wheelchair usage was logged electronically, and geolocation and interview data were used to isolate chair use to (1) in the home, (2) not in the home indoors, or (3) outdoors. Distance wheeled, time spent wheeling, number of bouts, time spent in the wheelchair, and the percentage of time in the wheelchair spent wheeling were measured to describe wheelchair use. RESULTS: The median wheelchair user spent 10.6 hours (range, 5.0-16.6h) in his/her wheelchair daily and wheeled 1.085 km (range, 0.238-10.585 km) over 58 minutes (range, 16-173 min) and 110 bouts (range, 36-282 bouts). Wheelchair use varied across subjects, within subjects from day to day, and between environments. Mobility bouts outdoors were longer and faster than those wheeled indoors. In a regression analysis, distance wheeled explained only 33% of the variation in the number of bouts and 75% in the time spent wheeling. CONCLUSIONS: Power wheelchair use varies widely both within and between users. Measuring distance, time, and number of bouts provides a clearer picture of mobility patterns than measuring distance alone, whereas occupancy helps to measure wheelchair function in daily activities.

The Best LCD TVs on the Market

The Panasonic TX-32LXD700 currently stands as Panasonic’s flagship LCD TV — so we’re happy to say it has the features and performance quality to do its position proud.

Probably the lcd tv most useful way to start this section is by uncovering what differentiates the flagship 32LXD700A from the LXD70A models lower down Panasonic’s range. Firstly, there’s an SD card slot built into the TV, via which you can play back your digital photos. Secondly, the TV employs a considerably more powerful audio system, dubbed ‘Smart Sound’, which uses separate lcd tv reviews tweeters and woofers to boost very effectively, as it happens the dynamic range and sense of openness in the soundstage. However, unlike overseas versions of this TV, there are only two, and not three, HDMI ports.

Skin Creams and Wrinkles

Skin Creams and Wrinkles

Although wrinkles are more associated with the dermatological clock of the skin, it is still
considered as the resulting product of the greatest effects of harmful influences in the
skin. One of which is the damaging effects of the sun. Prolonged exposure to it can
prematurely age one’s skin. (Here’s where you can find more detailed information on href=”http://bestskincareproducts.info/”>best

Usually, wrinkles appear when the skin has already lost its elasticity and firmness. This is
usually brought about by the harmful effects of the sun and other environmental factors.
It is also brought about by the loss of fatty tissues in the skin’s innermost layer.

Hence, medical and skin experts contend that applying topical creams and other skin
creams are best for the skin’s regeneration process. (Here’s where you can find more

All this information is sent to you in the mail so be careful not to throw those monthly envelopes out, it may look like junk mail but you should go through anything about your bank business line of credit card just to be sure. This way there will be no confusion about rates you have never heard about and so on.

How Much Can You Pay?

If you are using your bank building business credit card for fixed purchases like gas or groceries, you should pay off your bill in full every month.

Any Inexpensive Internet Home Based Business Ideas you Can Try?

The Internet has become an integral part of our lives. In fact, many people have built their

own career and Internet money making businesses in 2009 through

the web. There are still a lot of people who pass off online businesses thinking that they are

extremely expensive. Setting up your own Internet home based business does not have to be so,

as there are home-based ventures that does not cost that much to set-up. Here are some

inexpensive online businesses you should try.
One very inexpensive method to set-up your own Internet money making

opportunities from home
is to come up with your very own website. There are good sites in the Internet which allows

you to set one up without any charge. A free site is usually enough to provide online users

with information and to sell your products and services. If you want more online presence, you

can buy yourself a domain name, set-up your site or ask someone else to make one for you. Doing

this will cost you well under a hundred dollars. If you have an informational and content-laden

site, you can join affiliate programs wherein you post other people’s product adverts and earn

commissions for sales you refer.
You have to take note though that having a website is not enough. You need to spend time and

effort to market your site. You can go join community and network groups and advertise your

site there, share advertising with other sites, exchanging ads with related sites, write

articles related to your niche in return for free advertising, or distribute informational

newsletters online. All these are inexpensive yet effective ways to draw customers into your

site in no time.
Note that marketing is very crucial to the success of any Internet home based business. If you

have no idea about Internet marketing, you can do your own research and get free information

through sites and books which can help you get started with no cost.
Another Internet home based business worth noting is selling items through online auction sites

such as EBay. The cost for selling items here can be very minimal. You can start out by selling

some of your old stuff, those in your garage that you no longer use, or unnecessary things that

just lie around the house. You will be surprised to see just others still want them. Once you

have established your credibility as an online seller, you can move on to selling new stuff.

You can eventually contact a wholesaler and come up with your own strategies for your online

store.
If selling or marketing is not your thing and you have writing or typing skills, go on and

offer your services to the online community. There are many businesses online which are in need

of your services. All you need to do is look around for them. If you have academic potential,

try doing online tutoring. There are a number of websites providing this service that you may

want to check out.
All these are but a few of the many Internet home based business opportunities you can grab.

There is surely one that will best suit you. Think about what you do best and what you know and

then find a one idea that will fit your budget and your interest.

You Are What You Eat

Filed under: restaurants — brtideas @ 8:06 pm

You’ve certainly heard the expression many times, “You are what you eat.” Have you ever really thought about what it means? And do you think about it when you’re making food choices?

In some ways, we do become what we eat, literally. Have you ever seen an example of your blood plasma after eating a fast food hamburger or a pizza peoria il? What was previously a clear liquid becomes cloudy with the fat and cholesterol that’s absorbed from eating a high-fat hamburger.

And when you think about it, we also become what we don’t eat. When we switch from eating meat to a vegetarian-based diet, we become less fat, less prone to many types of cancers. Our cholesterol can improve. When we’re leaner and eating fewer animal products, then many other health and fitness issues are reduced. The incidence of Type II diabetes is reduced. Blood pressure falls into normal ranges. When you’re healthier, you’re taking fewer medications. Even if you have a prescription drug benefit in your health plan, you’re still saving money with fewer co-payments on medications.

If you have a family history of high cholesterol or high blood pressure, then it’s particularly incumbent on you to revise your pizza peoria il. Moving towards a more vegetarian diet has been shown statistically to reduce the incidence of so many of the diseases of industrialized countries. Vegetarians are statistically healthier than omnivorous persons; they’re leaner and live longer.

A pilot study to investigate shoulder muscle fatigue during a sustained isometric wheelchair-propulsion effort using surface EMG

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 2:20 am

A pilot study to investigate shoulder muscle fatigue during a sustained isometric wheelchair-propulsion effort using surface EMG

OBJECTIVE: The primary aim of this pilot study was to develop a testing protocol for gathering shoulder muscle surface electromyography (EMG) data during a sustained submaximal isometric wheelchair-propulsion effort. Of special interest was analysis of the median frequency of the surface EMG signal power spectrum; a negative median frequency shift during a sustained effort is an indicator of muscle fatigue. The long-term goal is to improve our understanding of how fatigue and muscle imbalance might play a role in the development of a broad array of upper-extremity overuse syndromes. METHOD: Participants were a convenience sample of seven male manual-wheelchair users with spinal cord injury and 14 able-bodied males. Surface EMG in six right-side shoulder muscles was recorded while subjects resisted a static force equal to 60% of their maximum handicap scooters-propulsion strength until fatigued. Percent of maximum voluntary contraction and the median frequency shift for each muscle were analyzed. RESULTS: The able-bodied group used a higher percent of maximum than the manual-wheelchair group (p< .05) than power wheelchairs, and a more pronounced negative median frequency shift was evident in the able-bodied group (p < .10). CONCLUSION: Patterns that emerged suggest that spectral analysis of the surface electromyographhic signal has promise as a clinically useful tool to authenticate muscle fatigue in the upper extremities during occupational performance. Such data in the future could be used to justify the need for and benefits of adapted performance techniques and assistive technology.

How Free Radicals Damage Skin Cells

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 9:47 pm

How Free Radicals Damage Skin Cells

Now back to business. How does this affect one’s skin? Studies are
pointing to the fact that wrinkles and other age related skin factors are
directly related to free-radical damage that is not countered by
antioxidants. If one does not get enough antioxidants from their diet
and other sources, their skin cells could break down and lose their
ability to function well. (Here’s where you can find more detailed information on skin
care and skin
lightening cream
.)

Most lotions and moisturizers nowadays bandy an antioxidant formula
specifically targeted to those who are concerned about the free-radical
damage. Unfortunately, it is hard to prove if these compounds can
actually show dramatic results since it isn’t practical to expect results
overnight.

It is however, still a good idea to splurge on antioxidants as the
benefits of these compounds are well-known. Some people even
believe that with further scientific inquiry, free-radical investigation
could lead to startling advances against the effects of aging.

To increase antioxidants in the body one may increase the intake of
antioxidants in the diet, or may purchase topical applications of the
vitamins A, C, E and the other antioxidant compounds to increase the
defense against free-radical damage. (Here’s where you can find more href=”http://bestskincareproducts.info/”>skin
care products reviews
.)

Some scientists think that should free-radical damage be halted or
reversed, antioxidants are the answer.

Therefore, to increase the presence of antioxidants in the body, a
modified diet presence of antioxidants in the diet, and, possibly, the
topical application of antioxidants in skin-care products, plays a part
in slowing down free-radical damage.

Rules Of Thumb

Filed under: complaints, rants, restaurants, tech, thoughts — Admin @ 9:45 pm

Rules Of Thumb

As a rule of thumb, do not apply online for a business line of credit card that has been solicited to you through e-mail. This is because e-mail is not secure and the simple act of opening an anonymous e-mail or clicking on a link within can greatly jeopardize the security of your information. You are at greater risk from opening phantom e-mail than you are from legitimate applications.

Read the TOS

Be sure to read all the details, including the Terms of Service (TOS). Most forms require that you mark an X or otherwise indicate that you agree to the TOS. Do not click on them blindly because if you apply online for a building business credit card, it is your responsibility to make sure you understand everything you are instructed to read. Small print can now be enhanced so everyone can see it-online commerce does not take kindly to those who don’t read the rules.

Tips On Koi Fish Tanks

Tips On Koi Fish Tanks

After you have dropped the food into the pond for a couple of days, and have gained the interest of your Koi and koi tanks, begin making the fish remove the food from your hand. If the Koi refuse to take the food from your hand, do not feed them that day. You will not stare your fish in this process. They will quickly get the idea that if they want to eat, they must get the food from you. Doing this everyday will get them comfortable with you.

Your pond should be complete before you even look into buying your Koi or visit the page http://koifishpondkeeping.com/koi-tank/. The size and amount of Koi you buy should be highly based on your pond. Be careful, overstocking will cause problems right away with you pond, potentially killing many of the Koi you purchase, causing you to loose time and money.

Gregg Braden’s Isaiah Effect

Filed under: thoughts — bodysupps @ 11:37 pm

first heard of Gregg Braden when he published his book, Awakening to Zero Point back in 1995. To myself and to many others interested in New Age spirituality and science, this book was a revelation — one of the most exciting contemporary books on spirituality and our collective destiny to have been published. What is more, Greg Braden presented himself as a scientist and geologist, with access to the very latest research findings and “inside” scientific opinion from around the world, so the information he presented seemed to be corroborated by the leading-edge scientific community.

Braden’s next book, Walking Between The Worlds, explored the science of compassion, emotion and prayer, relating to 2000 years old Essene texts. I found the book hugely inspiring and it certainly established Braden as a modern day prophet and spiritual teacher.
